Inco terms are internationally accepted commercial terms that define the respective roles and responsibilities of the buyer and seller when transactions are made. Inco terms define how merchandise is to be transported, and when ownership of the good is transmitted to the buyer.

EXW - Ex Works
FCA - Free Carrier
FAS - Free Alongside Ship
FOB - Free On Board
CFR - Cost and Freight
CIF - Cost, Insurance and Freight
CPT - Carriage Paid To
CIP - Carriage and Insurance Paid To
DAF - Delivered at Frontier
DES - Delivered Ex Ship
DEQ - Delivered Ex Quay (Duty Paid)
DDU - Delivered Duty Unpaid
DDP - Delivered Duty Paid

EXW, CPT, CIP, DAF, DDU and DDP are commonly used for any mode of transportation.
FAS, FOB, CFR, CIF, DES, and DEQ are used for sea and inland waterway.
